the never ending story was filmed in Germany in an indoor studio called bavaria studios, they still have the luck dragon and the public can have photos taken at a cost.

the cast actually sat round for a few days as the blue back round for the film did not work so they couldn't film. the scene where the bullies are was filmed in Vancouver.

The school they used was also in Vancouver not far of londsdale avenue. Its called Ridge way elementry school.

the scene where atreu falls of falkor was filmed on a beach in Spain.

Atrus skin was supossed to be green like in the book but they decided not to do that after it came off in filming, He also had intense hore riding training and was kiked off a horse in England.

During the filming of the film one day was so hot the ivory tower actaully melted.

the swamps of sadness were actually filmed in a real life location im not sure where. they used a platform for the horse to stand on and sunk it down. atrey actually got sucked under at one point and was unconcious.
