Most men in ancient Israel from the period of Jacob to King Solomon, 1700 BC - 900 BC, wore the standard dress of Canaan, and would have gone shirtless in summer months, wearing a simple colorful woven skirt and wore no sandals. Some men worked in the field naked, or at best wore a small loin cloth.

During the cooler months, Israelite men would wear longer tunics that came below the knee, and covered the torso leaving the arms free. Footwear was seldom seen, but sandals were an option.

90% of men wore their beards out long, and allowed their hair to grow long in the back. Some wore kerchiefs, a bandana to keep their hair tidy. Turbans were seen among some farmers, and cattle grazers to the south of Israel.

Halugs. It was a loincloth that was made from two rectangles of cloth sewn front to back and there were three holes from their head and two arms. These went down to their feet and had to cover their legs. The type of material depended on the person(rich or poor) wearing the halug. they sometimes wore leather or metal belts with the halugs. the woman also wore halugs.
