i was asking the same question but cant find a answer mines kinda a light pinkish color on my Lincoln LS 2000
No, the Lincoln LS has a hydraulic fan. That means it operates on fluid pressure like power steering.
The Ls has a hydraulic clutch mechanism
there is hydraulic fluid reservoir for the fan... it's driven by hydraulic pump... and there is coolant reservoir...
how do u change a hydraulic pump on a Lincoln LS V8 model 2001
DO NOT put oil in the radiator : The engine cooling system for the 2001 Lincoln LS came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) * also , the hydraulic engine cooling fan fluid reservoir takes MERCON automatic transmission fluid
You don't. The transmission on a 2004 Lincoln LS is sealed.
( one ) power steering pump , the power steering fluid reservoir is on the drivers side of the engine . There is a reservoir on the passenger side of the engine which is for the engine cooling fan hydraulic fluid . Both of the reservoirs take MERCON automatic transmission fluid according to the 2001 Lincoln LS Owner Guide
According to the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used as the power steering fluid )
All Lincoln LS transmissions are sealed. There is no dipstick to check fluid.
Where is the reservoir for the brake fluid
On the pump
According to the 2003 Lincoln LS owners manual : Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid is used as the power steering fluid
