the universal headphone port colour is green. it should be the same on any laptop or pc
Acer seems to be the best of 2010. Out of all the computers Acer has been updated the most as far as hardware and software goes. It looks to be a great buy and is looking like a good future for it.
It is called a laptop because a desktop is a computer that goes on a desk where as a laptop is a computer that goes on someones lap.
You may have a CD or floppy in the drive, or your hard drive may have failed.
it dies but the laptop should be undamaged
If your screen goes black and you have a gaming laptop, consider getting a powered laptop cooler.
Mine will do this if the headphone jack is not completely seated in the plug. Just give a little push and see if it goes on in any further, you may feel or hear a little click as it seats itself.
when you reboot it it comes up at first with the aer screen pres f12 then go down one. then press enter... Press next, next next till it comes to a different screen then wait for a minute then it will reboot..

Well, I too almost bought a Acer btp abbm battery! But what you want to do, you decide yourself. Some people buy an extra battery just because it will act as a backup for them when the primary ones runs out of juice. A typical battery lasts about 2 hours before it goes down. I have a feeling that if you buy the battery separately from DELL, the price is dearer? Did you check that one out? I think it's in the accessories section of their website. A nine cell battery is a good choice because my colleague bought DELL's six cell battery and her battery goes flat very quickly. It also depends on what you do in the time the laptop is being used, the power saver options on my laptop determines how long it keeps going.
