The Mensheviks were not exactly Red or White during the Russian Civil War, although they were more on the Red, or Bolshevik side rather than the White anti-Bolshevik side. Only Bolsheviks were truly considered Reds, but other revolutionary political parties such as the Mensheviks, Social Revolutionaries and anarchists supported them. They weren't Whites, because the Whites were either in favor of restoring the monarchy, setting up a military Dictatorship or creating a constitutional democracy. Either result would have brought Russia back to where it was prior to the Revolution and no revolutionary party wanted that.
The Mensheviks reluctantly supported the Bolsheviks, figuring that once the fighting was over, the Bolsheviks would honor their promises to have a fully democratic government with participation from all political parties as they had sworn to do. After the civil war the Bolsheviks refused to share power with anyone else unless they were individually cleared. and deemed acceptable.
