well after looking at another answer, if i read it correctly and if they were correct, then it would turn purple of blue. I probably would have guessed purple anyways, but you should probably check other resources too. I wouldn't want to be guilty for giving you the wrong answer after all.

Yes. However, certain teas cannot be used. One tea which does work is black tea, which gets darker when a base is added and lighter when an acid in added.

It first starts as yellow with only the indicator in the water, but when the magnesium is added, it turns green, then blue, and lastly purple
