Why did the US support the rebuilding of japan after world war 2?

Military conquest is expensive and messy. Economic conquest can be profitable and pleasant for both sides. After completely destroying the wartime Japanese economy, the Japanese people would have starved or been ripe for a takeover by Russia if the United States hadn't rebuilt Japan into a livable society. There was likely also some guilt involved over the nuclear bombings.

What effect did World War 1 and World War 2 have on the American economy?

World War One left an everlasting impact yet to come for many other wars, revolutions and events. Following not to long after the war women were soon gaining more rights; such as voting and sexual equality. The male dominance lost its flavor and patriarchal ideas weren't so strong anymore. The United States entered the war forever more breaking the idea of wanting to be neutral and isolated. Russia withdrew from the war allowing them to deal with internal conflicts. Also, much more down the line it caused the Cold War and World War 2.World War I set the stage for World War 2.The war cost millions of lives and billions of dollars. It reinforced the American strain of isolationism which contributed to the Great Depression. War reparations and the harsh peace settlement on Germany made conditions ripe to bring Hitler and the Nazis to power, and the war was the straw that broke the back of the Russian monarchy which allowed the Russian Communists to take power. It brought Japan up to Great Power status, which fueled their ambitions in the Far East. Some of the affects of WWI were that many of the countries were in major debt and owed alot of money. The men who returned after that war had no career because thay had joined at such a early stage in their lives. Not much really except mass chaos and made Germany pay reparations, because the treaty of Versailles blamed them for everything. The only thing that came out of WW1, was the beginning fight of WW2.WWI affected many people and killed millionsRead this!: http://www.helium.com/items/215016-the-political-economic-social-and-cultural-consequences-of-world-war-i

What characteristic of World War 1 sets in a part from earlier wars?

The advent of large scale mass conscription by all major world powers and their smaller allied counterparts on both sides is a major difference that set this conflict apart from all conflicts previously fought. A powerful sense of nationalism was rampant throughout Europe and the world as a whole. in countries both large and small. Imperialism and militarism had gripped major European powers in order to counter the threat they perceived other major powers posed to them. The new German Empire had allied with the Austro-Hungarian Empire and newly unified Italy to form the Triple Alliance. The British, French, and Russian Empire countered this move by forming the Triple Entente in a move to counter the threat posed by the Triple Alliance. The Balkan region of Europe was in turmoil in the early 20th century. War had rocked the region over and over and destablization resulted in an environment ripe for terrorist and extremist activity. The seizure of the area of Bosnia-Herzegovina by the powerful Austro-Hungarian Empire had infuriated many nationalists in the region who had imagined a free and independent country of their own or unified with the fledgling state of Serbia. The trigger that would lead to a rapid cascade of events leading to the declaration of war occured when a Bosnian nationalist and extremist by the name of Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne June 28th of 1914 while he was on tour of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Simply put rapid transit and comunication which was not nearly as widespread in previous conflicts led to massive reservist and conscript armies being called to arms, equipped, organized and rapidly moved to the frontiers and borders of both sides. Unfortunately the invention of the machine gun, massive improvement of mobile artillery and mass rapid transit would result in wholesale salughter of armies employing antiquated human wave tactics. Massive strategical shifts of thinking were necessary but lack of revolutionary equipment (wonder weapons) or tactics led to a bloody stalemate that gripped the European continent for nearly 4 years before a massive influx of millions of fresh Amrican soldiers entering the front in aid of the Entente, war exhaustion, starvation, and staggering casualties combined to forced the surrender of Germany and Austria-Hungary in late 1918. No side can be blamed more than the other side for causing the war although history commonly will name Imperial Germany or Austria-Hungary as the cause for the war. Nevertheless all sides were armed and willing for this calamitous conflict although none could be prepared for the nightmare that would unfold as a result of this titanic clash of arms and will. What are the three reasons that the nazi's gained enormous popularity?

AnswerThis will be a "Thumbnail" sketch. Adolph Hitler worked for the German Gov't after WWI. He was a decorated soldier. His job was to infiltrate Anti-Gov't, left-wing organizations in Germany. While infiltrating one of the groups, he met Herman Hess, who recognized Hitler's oratory, and motivational talents. This group was heavily into the occult. Through this group and Hess, Adolph was introduced to Rosenberg, & Heimler who were also into the occult. This group believed that God put a master race onto the earth in the Norwegian region.Germany was in a bad recession and was ripe for a megalomaniacal leader to emerge and guide them. The SS was formed to populate German with perfect babies. The men of the SS were physically, intellectually, and aesthetically as perfect as they could be (according to Hitler). They were allowed to breed with any woman who could prove true Germanic ancestry. The SS, also being elite were the best fighting machine in Europe. They were also fed daily doses of Crystal Methamphetamine (created by German scientists at the time).Hitler believed that mongrel races were going to destroy the world. Germany was very anti-Semitic anyway, so they were the first to be targeted for extinction. The surrounding countries fell as Hitler's popularity and power grew. By 1940 the Nazis had occupied most of Europe, Northern Africa, were well established in Russia, and Great Britain was in bad shape. Only after Joseph P Kennedy convinced the US Gov't to intervene was the Nazi war machine able to be stopped.
