Hi there as it gets hot I would go with a stronger 2 part glue. I would suggest araldite . You mix equal amounts of softner to hardner on some card mix it then apply it to the to be glued object.
ANS 2 - I like that fix. -However if you live in North America you may not have access to Araldite.
Substitute J B Weld for an equally good solution.
