In just about any car including the Mazda Rx-7, ethylene glycol based coolant is recommended. This is the most common coolant found at your local automotive store. A 50/50 mixture with distilled water is best.
Bad head gasket? Bad thermostat? Defective radiator cap?
faulty pressure cap or center housing has rusted through to the outer seal ...
This is really a stupid question and you should sell your rx7 to someone else who is more informed and able to handle such a car. If your car needs a new coolant seal, it means you have to get the engine torn down (around $1k in labour) and have new internals put in (around $2k for basics, not core).
Coolant temp sensor, or leaky injectors, bad Ecu, weak battery
Blown h20 seal in engine or turbo !!
As soon as the proper amount of coolant is in the system the light should shut off. Be sure to properly purge the cooling system of air. what if light still does not shut off
is this a 3rd gen or a 2nd gen??? if its a 3rd gen the coolant reservoir is on the same side of the car as the turbos are located, underneather the main headlight. believe its a similar location on 2nd gens. cheers.
