It could be that the shift interlock is not releasing. There is an override switch underneath the steering column or the shifter console.

The wiring harness can be loose or coming loose. There could also be parts inside the actual radio that aren't working. You could buy a new one as they aren't that expensive.
try having the wheels balanced. It could also be un-even wear in the tyres especially the front ones.
If it just lasts for 1 or 2 seconds, it is the clutch plates ratteling and not to worry.

AnswerWhen you replaced the headgasket, did you have the head checked? It could be warped, causing the gasket to fail, or worse it could be cracked. I've also seen the water jackets within the block crack if it overheated to many times.
you have to pull up the rubber housing of the main wire connection and unscrew the bolt underneath, hope that helps!
It may be that your getting an arc off of one of your plug wires. One of them could be burnt through the insulation causing the misread.
