∙ 14y agoA lining of uterus leaves the vagina during a period. Muscles of the body are used to help the lining leave. The lining is the blood. Muscles used are lower back muscles, and upper leg muscles. Since this only happens around once a month, these muscles are not always used to this, which makes it hurt. It hurts because these muscles are contracting.
