Fuel Filter, fuel pump, possibly even an electronic component failing when it gets hot. Often the ignition components can get hot and fail. I think you mean, "like it's not getting fuel" and you are exactly right, it's not getting fuel. Is your MIL illuminated? It could be any number of problems, but proper diagnosis is the only way you are going to isolate the culprit.
Most likely the shaking results from unbalanced tires. Get them checked ASAP. If that doesnt fix the problem, then it could be worn out shocks/struts.
I went to my machanic and he removed a coil pack and then replaced it with a new one and the problem whent away FOR A WHILE. Once it started sputtering again I replaced the other two coil packs. The problem whent away again (I THINK) now the problem with sputtering only happens when i am going up a hill and only during accelleration. MY first thought was BAD GAS...second NOT ENOUGH GAS IN THE TANK...and Last FUEL SYSTEM needs to be cleaned. This car has 80,000 miles and runs perfect I just cant find why the sputtering is so intermittent.
Well, if you have the same problem mine has, it's the steering mechanism. The CV joints, the tie-rods, etc.... Or it could be a simpler problem like the tires being out of balance. But I would check the steering no matter what.
I had this problem on a 99 Buick park Ave, and it was two bad tires and a bent rim. If you take it to a tire shop they can tell you what is going on. Also have them check tie-rod ends and ball joints as mine needed these also.
try your fuel diaphragm could be overloading the intake. causing it to stall
Try getting the PCV pipe replaced. Mine had a problem with it conking-out at stops and on turns and that turned-out to be the problem. It could also be a vacuum leak.
Car not getting gas Buick century 1994?
It is possible that the fuel line in the 1997 Buick Skylark is bad. Getting a tune-up or changing the fuel filter may resolve this problem.
In my Buick? Not a thing. Need more info on what your Buick is doing or not doing --- cooling system problem? In dash heater problem? Engine overheating?
I have a 2005 buick la crosse and it started shaking two days ago when i start it, believe i might have put bad gas in it, however i put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and water removal in tank. Not as bad but still shaking when i start what could be the problem anyone know? please help really concerned
Yes I have.... I had to pull the fuse on mine to get it to shut off. I have no idea what the problem is either, and I hope someone can help the both of us out.
Assuming there is not a major internal problem you need fuel, spark and air to get an engine started. So, from what you described I'd be looking at a problem with getting spark, probably from the ignition coil.
