I have some extra information about the above question. It's about a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport (V6 4L SOHC). All of a sudden all the lights of the dash stopped working (also the illumination of AC/radio controls), also the warning chime for lights on is not working and the tail-lights are not working. All dome-lights work. I checked all fuses visually; they seem to be all right. The alternator and battery are brand new. Does anybody else know what else could be the cause of the problems, and does anybody know which fuse actually controls these functions?
What is your problem with tail light options?
Is it the taillights or the brake lights? If taillights it may be a wiring problem, If brake lights check the switch on the brake pedal
Start with checking the fuses.
If fuses check out fine, then check the dashlights and taillights themselves, if those check out then most likely there is an electrical problem elsewhere
only thing left to check is the light switch
The park lamps fuse is blown
Check the switch.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I would assume that would be your headlight switch ( I lost my headlights , taillights , and dash lights on my 1971 Mustang one night while travelling on a highway , pretty dangerous )
On most vehivles the live feed for the taillights brances from a connection in the back of the trunk. It is probably a poor connection or damp in this junction. If the whole cluster isn's working it is probably a poor earth.
The bulbs should be checked on a 1993 Dodge Dakota if the taillights are not working. The plugs on the trailer package should also be checked to make sure that they are working.
Well i think that the war was a problem in the relationship, and that after the problem was over on of the persons did like the other person anymore
Im 99% sure you have a fuse blown, its the parking lamps fuse. a fuse may be blown
