Take it back to the shop and complain.
Not knowing exactly what they did my best educated guess would be that the idle is too high.
Electrical - check voltage to "reverse" selonid. With my knowledge on Nissans, it could also be a transmission problem. If it is a 5-speed, it is more than likely the tranny. Reverse is the gear that goes out first most of the time
The problem is the reverse light switch. It is located on the top of the transmission that should sloved your problem.
I just read another persons witing on another site about this. He was having the same problem I am with his Pathfinder. We all wont go in reverse. His turned out to be the solenoids.
You have a serious front end problem. Have a mechanic inspect it asap.
There are jerks on every site. Most of them find it amusing to be jerks. That will work fine until they grow up and find that no one wants to be around a jerk except other jerks. That is their reward.
The reverse light switch is stuck or defective.
There is probably a problem with your selector i had the same problem on my 5 speed boxs the other day change the clutch and the reverse light switch but for got to put the washer on the switch so it whent in to far and caused the reverse link not to go in
NO. You have a serious problem. A tranny pro is in order. At 40K miles, my Chevrolet S10 Blazer lost reverse. Since the car was under warranty at that time, I was able to continue to take it to the dealer until they finally figured out the problem. It took them 8 attempts with a "computer diagnostic" until I lost reverse completely. At that time, they were obligated to fix the problem before they could give the car back to me. It was the valve body that needed replacement.
There is no difference by rule. It is a reverse arrangement that becomes exclusive only for nominative personal pronouns (I, you, he, she, it, we, they). You could still say "what do you think the problem is."But the basic sentence is "what is the problem" and the modifier is do you think. So some grammarians recommend keeping the verb in the same order. The sentence "who do you think you are" is actually "who are you" and any other non-pronoun could form the reverse order sentence, e.g. who do you think is the culprit, which is identical to "who do you think the culprit is."
Try bypassing the reverse light switch that plugs into the transmission. If your reverse lights come on, voila! Problem solved. Buy a new switch.
A vehicle will shake in the reverse function when there is an issue with the engine, although other issues could cause this issue as well.
