Ford likes to run a GEM ( I rememebr General Electrical Managment) module This is used to control things like windows, heater, I believe seats, maybe a bad GEM?
More likely it is a window regulator, or maybe a guide bearing. Both are cheap parts that are expensive to have replaced.
Common problem have Solenoid replaced Usually the pressure regulator valve.
Unless the glass is broken then there is no reason to remove it. If you have a problem it is possibly the motor or regulator.
I had the same problem with a 98 contour, It was the fuel pressure regulator.
take it into the dealership and they should be able to fix the problem for you
have you replaced the fuel filter
I replaced the drivers door switch on mine and it took care of the problem
Is it getting spark?
dony know, having the same problem- replaced reg. / probably fuel pump diaphragm
No, the gears are stamped as part of the regulator arms. If the gears are bad the regulator unit would need replaced. More likely a problem with the gear on the motor. I've never seen the motor gear offered separately. Motor would have to be replaced.
ask an auto electrician to check the Over Voltage Relay. It lives under the dash above drivers legs. It has a Zennon type regulator and a fuse which can b replaced if its blowen. Its about 50 X 50 X 75mm in size and is silver in colour. Failure of unit can affect many of the electrics in the 300e
Keep in mind the #1 problem with these vehicles is fuel pumps. Most of the time the regulator is replaced needlessly.
