Is it only the brakes or position light will not turn on either ? Eliminating the obvious that all parts are matching and good, check wires, use 2 people, one steps on brake, the other checks voltage at rear socket. If it works, check your installation, everything plugged nice and tight, if not, it's your wires.
You should take it back to the shop that replaced them and ask. It's possible that something is hung up somewhere that's causing the noise.
If a calliper is "hanging", it could be causing the brake pads to press against the rotor and overheat the brakes. You may want to see if the calliper is dragging.
If the ABS and brake light are coming on while driving, this is an indicator that it is time to get your brakes checked and replaced. If not, the brakes will wear out causing you to not be able to stop.
Check the calipers on the car to see which one is frozen. Most likely you have a stuck wheel caliper that is causing the frozen problem and will have to be replaced.
Lets say you do not have ABS. If that is the case, is it the front or the back brakes. If it is the back brakes, then it is possible that the brake springs have to be changed, that is of course if you have drum brakes. If you have 4 wheel disk, then its another problem, possible the brake equilizer valve has to be replaced.
It depends on the kind of brake pad you buy, but it goes by miles. Some brakes need to be replaced after you have put 10,000 miles on them and some don't need to be changed until 60,000 miles.
The best place to have your brakes replaced at would be Midas they would be able to replace both your brake shoes and even brake calibers if they need replaced.
There are a couple of possibilities. One is lack of lubrication of brake system moving and/or contact points such as between back of pads and caliper housing and/or piston. Another could be that, the rotors/discs are warped/distorted and need to be machined or more preferably, replaced. If you replaced the front brakes (example) and you still have a squeal, it's possible it may be coming from the rear brakes.
You can go to your local auto mechanic to have your brakes replaced. You need the to give you a quote and their expertise will make for the best repairs.
brakes need replaced
I don't think your brakes have anything to do with that one!
The brakes may make a clicking noise if the caliper is going bad. I just changed the brakes and the rotors and discovered my car was making a clicking noise. The garage I took it to replaced the caliper, so now it doesn't make the noise anymore.
