Not overly familiar with the Lumina, but you might have accidentaly disconected them at the bus, or the CD player could be drawing to much power(unlikely)
change the light bulb
Don't know what you're working on but it sounds like you have accidently disconnected the speedometer cable from the speedometer. Check it out.
you have a bad car
Installing a DVD in your car can be illegal if improperly placed, and you run the risk of theft.

The lights may not work because the wires for the lights is not pluged in or you blew a fuse.

I could be wrong...BUT when a player is in the zone, they are said to play out of their mind. When they leave they flip the switch. Lights out.
There are several excellent videos on Youtube that will walk you through, how to install a stereo system on a moped. The only difference between installing the system on a moped is where you want to put your components. If you have an MP3 player, then is just as simple as installing an amp and speakers.
The lights are there for the same reasons all lights are used; to light the table evenly so there is no shadows from the balls, cue, or player (if lighted properly).

You can't use a flash player on either nook. It doesn't permit downloading or installing other software. You'd have to jailbreak it.
