Transmission Fluid is burnt. I recommend taking it to a transmission shop to have it flushed and your transmission checked for any damage such as worn bands, worn clutch or torque converter
No the transmission will not overheat, the wrong type of fluid could just ruin it the transmission. Same with also using too low or high amounts of fluid. That's why they recommend using the right type of transmission fluid.
Could be transmission bands are worn and require adjustment or replacement Try changing transmission fluid and filter
Drain out the transmission fluid and replace with the correct fluid. Some types of transmission fluid are incompatible with other types of tranmssion fluid or with the transmission itself, and can destroy your transmission.
Have you checked the fluid level? Have you changed the filter and fluid as normal maintenance?
Yes it can and will. Using the wrong transmission fluid for your vehicle will most likely blow your seals. If you put a heavier fluid than required it can break the aluminum flaps that control fluid movement.
You have to check transmission fluid level.
It could be a number of things going wrong. Try dropping the transmission pan and changing the transmission oil filter and transmission fluid.
If too much transmission fluid is added, or there is something wrong with the pump
Remove the transmission dipstick and read it, it will tell what fluid to use.
If a Polaris Scrambler transmission vent line is blowing out transmission fluid the fluid may have been overfilled. Putting the transmission fluid in the wrong plug can also cause this.
Transmission could be adversly effected. Shifting problems can occur and worse case the transmission can be permantly damaged.
it could be coming from your transfer case. i don't know for sure with the escort but it usually needs to be filled seperately.
