What could be wrong with an 88 Dodge colt that wont start it wont even turn over you know the alternator is bad so it killed the battery but you bought a new one and it still wont turn over?

check your wiring to starter motor,clean all contacts,if it still does not crank change starter motor.used fromscrap 75$.i know this from my own experiance.
