Fill the radiator and the coolant recovery jug. Run the engine while observing for leaks and watching the temperature. Once the gauge gets just past 1/2 way the cooling fan should come on. If not then turn it off and find the reason. There is a bulletin on the cooling fan relay.
Leaking heater core
IT COULD BE THE THERMOSTAT, THE VEHICLE BEING LOW ON COOLANT, OR A MODE DOOR WITHIN THE DASH
The coolant sensor moniters the coolant temperature. A faulty thermostat could cause the engine to run cool.
Thermostat mulfunctioning, leaking coolant fluid or even over driving the car, good luck.OR shifting wrong, drrrr.
It could be the coolant level is low or a faulty thermostat.
a leak in a head gasket could cause coolant to go into only one cylinder.
No, low coolant would cause the opposite.
Check coolant level Could be a weak thermostat
If the coolant reservoir can not maintain the proper level of coolant, it is possible the engine could over heat when the level drops.
you could be low on coolant
Low battery. Low antifreeze/coolant. I'm sure there's lots of other reasons, but those are the ones I've experienced.
