When the horn on an older car does not work, there are usually one of two possible issues. The first is a blown fuse. The second is a short circuit or a break in the now brittle wiring.
check your brake light ...then replace the stop/horn fuse

We have a 1995 Miata and the horn stops working from time to time. If you lift the hood, right in front of the radiator, the horn plugs in. I just re plug it when it happens. I hope this is what your miata is doing.
could be horn relay in underhood fuse box. or bad horn..
if your horn is stuck on makin noise pull the fuse out... or you can remove the whole horn assembly from underneath the hood
swap the wires or run a lead over to the suspected bad horn and see if it blows. If the one horn blows and the other doesn't...then I would suspect the horn to be bad. If it blows using the lead from the good horn then you know the wiring is the suspect and need to track it down.
where is horn relay on 1995 buick roadmaster
Blown/no fuse, bad relay, or a bad switch
A loose wire would cause the horn to stop working on your Dodge Avenger 2.4L engine.
