This will usually result in severe damage to all electronic components in the vehicle's electrical system, and could result in melting the insulation on much of the wiring, and even melting of some of the wires.
In a "worst case" scenario, it could even cause an electrical system fire which could result in burning up the entire vehicle.
And, although I've never seen it, I have heard "stories" that connecting an auto battery "backwards" resulted in the battery exploding.
Hook it up correctly and see if everything is ok.
your battery may be dead or try unhooking your battery for 1 hour then hook back up and try again
nothing will happen it will just send a charge of electric current to the end that isn't connected to the battery. hope i helped you sincerely, Blake
We hooked up the battery wrong , positive to negative and negative to positive and the motor still turned over but would noy start. Why did this happen ? This is a 1999 gas golf cart ez go.
you could have a bad ground wire that was my problem
hook a battery to it
Hook positive up first, negative last.
You could try and hook up a bicycle workout machine to a battery so when you work out in the morning, you charge the battery. Then put the battery in an electric car.
Hook up a battery charger to it.
if you have connected it up properly it could be just that your battery is completely flat and that when you hook up the charger some relays are getting power and making the clicking noise
It depends on the battery charger. Some chargers will detect that they're hooked up backwards and do nothing. More than likely though it will dis-charge the battery pretty quickly, and probably damage it.
Disconnect the battery for about an hour, then hook it back up. If it comes back on, something is wrong.
