The police exist in virtually all countries around the world. Each country has its own police force or law enforcement agency responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing laws, and ensuring the safety and security of the population. Examples of well-known police forces include the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United Kingdom's Metropolitan Police, and France's National Police.
