I think they were just in Afghanistan but the countries that were involved and still are is the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Poland, Netherlands, Australia, Spain and Denmark.

∙ 14y agoBritish writer Rudyard Kipling immortalized Afghanistan/Pakistan with his writings on the mighty British Empire wars in that region: for example the "Khyber Pass" a scene of at least three wars involving Great Britain's fighting men, from the 1830's up thru the 1880's, and into the early 20th century.
The Soviets were involved in Afghanistan's history from about 1979 until about 1989. The USSR may have lost about 10,000 men during their fighting in that place.
But it must be noted; the Soviets and the British were NOT fighting terrorists that attacked Russia or Great Britain, they were fighting colonial wars (territorial control).
