Canada has a degree of free trade with Germany under the terms of the World Trade Organization of which both countries are members; it does not have the same degree of unrestricted trade that it has with the US and Mexico under the terms of the North American Free Trade Agreement. All of these trade agreements are very complicated. But in general, there is certainly commerce between Canada and Germany.

The World Trade organization was formed by the United States under the Marrakesh Agreement. It was founded to improve trades among the different countries in the world. The introduction and implementation of the Marrakesh Agreement triggered the establishment of this organization. The World Trade Organization was established on the first day of January year 1995.
As of 2023, the United States' largest trade partner is China, primarily due to the significant volume of goods traded between the two countries. However, Canada and Mexico are also crucial trade partners, particularly under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which has strengthened trade relationships in North America. The rankings can vary based on specific goods and services, but China consistently remains at the top for overall trade.
NAFTA
The World Trade Organization (WTO) encompasses various agreements that govern international trade. Key agreements include the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which focuses on trade in goods; the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), covering trade in services; and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), which addresses intellectual property issues. Additionally, there are agreements on agriculture, textiles, and the Trade Facilitation Agreement, aimed at simplifying customs procedures. These agreements collectively aim to promote fair and open trade among member countries.
Free trade agreements. Over 90% of Mexico's trade is under such agreements with more than 40 countries, including Canada, the United States, the European Union, Japan, Israel and most countries in Central and South America.
One is the World Trade Organization (WTO), under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). Another are certain agencies of the United Nations. Another are binational or multinational treaties and agreements specifying the nature of trade (which may constitute free trade or a customs union), such as, for example, the North American Free Trade Agreement.
