Answer 1

After WWII and the Holocaust, peace treaties established that a Jewish nation would be established on the land the Jews had lived on for millenia (this is year 5763 on the Jewish calendar), so that there would be a Jewish homeland and the Jews would be able to go back "home" if God forbid another Holocaust occurred with attempts to "exterminate" the world's Jews. Arabs had also lived in areas of what is now Israel, and the Arabs that owned and lived on property within the borders were invited to become full citizens of the new, tiny, country. However, egged on by large surrounding Arab nations that didn't like the idea of a Jewish State, these landowners decided that they did not want to be part of a Jewish state, even though they would be perfectly free to practice their own religion and would be full citizens, and fled Israel. However, the same surrounding Arab countries did not actually wish to take these people into their own large countries - they knew that the only way to keep the displaced groups angry and upset would be for them not to have a homeland themselves. So these groups of former landowners, as well as poor Arabs who had not owned land to begin with, who fled the new country of Israel on their own accord, were not let into the large, surrounding Arab nations, and they had to be mad at someone - so they chose Israel. They did end up in a crappy position, but not because they couldn't have stayed and prospered in the new country of Israel, though most of the Arab population in the contentious areas has now been brainwashed to believe that it was Israel's fault that they left their land. Possibly ideally, a two-state solution would give the "Palestinians" their own country side by side with Israel, which has been proposed time and time again, but the Palestinians seem not to want "peace" - they want no Israel. When borders can be proposed that do not leave Israel with an inability to defend its own borders that it won in wars in which it was attacked, I believe that a two-state solution would be the best option to provide the Palestinians with a country to call their own, next to Israel, but they have to accept this, which would require them accepting Israel as a legitimate nation.

Answer 2

Jews and Arabs are fighting for the territory that once belonged to the British Mandate of Palestine. The Jews call this territory Israel and have established a country there. The Arabs call this territory Palestine and have attempted to establish a country in a minority of the land with limited success.

Which nation was created by the actions of the Arabs and Jews?

All of the states of the Middle East and North Africa except Iran, Turkey, and Cyprus were founded by Arabs or Jews. Israel was the only country founded by both Jews and Arabs, although admittedly Jews had a much larger stake. In every other Arab country, Arabs almost exclusively created those nations.

When did the Jews and Arabs start fighting?

If the question is asking when the Jews and Arabs have been fighting each other to determine the fate of the former British Mandate of Palestine, the answer is that they have been fighting each other since the 1920s. If the question is asking when Jews and Arabs first fought at all, the earliest historically verified battles fought by Jews happened nearly 2800 years ago and the Bible alludes to even earlier confrontations. There is minimal documentation on Arabs that has survived from over 2000 years ago, but it is highly likely that Arab tribes were fighting each other back then. Arab military expansion out of Arabia occurred as early as 650 or so C.E. when Caliph Omar expanded the Islamic Caliphate into the Levant.

What was a major reason for the wars between Arabs and Israelis?

When the Jews were trying to get Palistine from the British who conquered it in WWI, somebody (?) said, "Even if you get a country of 1 millions Jews, 200 million Arabs will never let you alone". The Arabs held the Jews in utter contempt. Nothing has changed lately.

Did Jews hate Arabs?

It depends on which Jews, which Arabs, and which setting.

Why did the fighting between the Arabs and Jews increase in 1945?

Answer 1This is when the Jews officially declared to become an independent country at the United Nations. This angered the Arabs so the Jews had to fight for their independence for their new country: Israel.Answer 2A distinction must be made between the increase in fighting in 1945 and the further increase in 1948 (which is what the above answer discusses) the reasons for the increase in fighting as soon as World War II ended are as follows:The Zionists and others who supported the Creation of the Jewish Nation were finally able to get the International Community to see the entrenched nature of Anti-Semitism in Europe after the Holocaust. This international perspective finally allowed Jews to successfully campaign for a State. When the United Nations was formed and indicated this would be a goal of theirs (the Partitioning of the Mandate of Palestine), a large number of Jews from refugee camps across Europe began to immigrate both legally and illegally to the territory. Arabs, who were repulsed by the idea of a Jewish State, used militias formed to oppose the British occupation and turned them against the Jews. The Jews responded with similarly formed militias and targeted the Arabs.

What are the two names for the country that is claimed by both Muslims and Jews?

It's the Arabian country Palestine, which is for Arabs (regardless of their religions). It's claimed by Jews who occupied it in 1948 & named it Israel.

When was the homeland for Jews created?

It was created by Britain shortly after World War 1, possibly as a 'divide and rule' tactic, and the first serious fighting between Jews and Arabs took place in 1920.
