Both Poland and Germany had non-aggression pacts with Soviet.

Stalin broke it with Poland in Sept 1939 when the Red Army joined the Wehrmacht in occupying Poland according to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

Then Hitler broke the other one when launching operation Barbarossa in 1941.
