Since England is located in the British Isles, there is no physical landmass connecting the two countries. However, if a direct path is taken, Denmark is situated between England and Sweden (disregarding the North Sea). From a spherical perspective of the Earth, part of the Netherlands also lies between the two.

By including Scotland and Wales with England (ie. the island of Great Britain), Norway is also in between the British Isles and Sweden.
