Untill the beginning of the World War 2, Indonesia was a Dutch colony. Then it fell into Japan 's hand like any ohers Asian countries such as China, Singapore and Burma(Myanmar). It gained its independence on August 17th 1945, several days after the atomic bomb exploded in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
