"...while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, SHALL SO COME IN LIKE MANNER AS YE HAVE SEEN HIM GO into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath day's journey." (Acts 1: 9-12)
All the prophecies tell of Jesus "returning with clouds." Disappearing into a cloud was the last thing the disciples saw of Him. So, the reverse to this exit from earth shall be the manner of His return - from a cloud... back onto the Mount of Olives.
"...His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives..." (Zech.14:4).
"...then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven... and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matt.24:30)
