Joseph gains the Pharaoh's favor by interpreting the Pharaoh's dreams accurately, advising him on how to prepare for the upcoming years of plenty and famine, and showing wisdom and administrative skills when managing Egypt's resources during the famine. This earns the Pharaoh's trust and leads to Joseph being appointed as a high-ranking official in Egypt.
