It could be stated that the US involvement began on 10 August 1950 with the first US Arms aid to the to the pro French, South Vietnamese.
It could have begun when Eisenhower authorized Air American to support the French, or on 12 February 1954 when the first US Military advisers entered Vietnam or on 8 July 1959 when the first advisers were killed in combat (Air American crews didn't count, they were US civilians).
On 13 May 1961 Kennedy ordered in the first 100 Green Berets.
Involvement may have begun withe the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution of 7 August 1964 or the start of "Operation Rolling Thunder on 8 February 1965 or the Marine landing on 8 March 1965. There are plenty of "start" dates to choose from.
1 November 1955 - 30 April 1975 .

Great Britain did not send troops to Vietnam during the war.
The UN didn't fight in the Vietnam War; the UN was in Korea.
easy YES!
To stop the spread of communism:))
The United States became involved in Vietnam because they wanted to stop communism from happening in that part of Asia.
it led to increased u.s. involvement in vietnam - apex
America did get involved
Global events affect the United States.
because they wanted to gain control of everything and own Vietnam
Lots of possibilities here. My favorites, in no particular order: 1) politicians could not appear to be as "soft on Communism" by "losing" Vietnam; 2) the doctrine of containment required us to become involved; 3) it was believed that if Vietnam "fell," the rest of southeast Asia would follow.
Yes but they wanted to unify into a communist country and the United States didn't want South Vietnam to become communist
