how do u change a timing belt on a 94 ford ranger need help
Do you really need to change your timing CHAIN on a 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 L already ? How many miles have you got on it ?=)
timing is computer controlled. You don't need to do any timing.
Replace every 60,000 miles. need picture diagram of 2.3 4cyl ford ranger 93 timing belt diagram
The cam (timing) belt should last for the life of the vehicle. A Ford Ranger has a smaller motor, that with the right care, should not have to have the cam belt changed.
They are on the damper. You'll need to peek under the air intake tube with your timing light at the right corner of the radiator.
need to know what size engine well... assuming that the 3.0 and the 4.0 both have timing chains... wouldn't it be rational to say that its the 2.3 liter?
For the 2.3L 4 cylinder, under normal driving conditions, 60K
you need to make sure that the mrks line up, but the ecu, will adjust timing and whatnot to an extent, but only within a few degrees. if you have a shop book this will explain more thoroughly, i dont have mine handy, but it is in there.
i need help with the temp.gage in a 1988 ford ranger
Timing chains are not a scheduled maintenance replacement unlike a timing belt. Timing chains usually don't need to be replaced unless there is a problem with the engine itself. Timing chains will last as long as the engine. This is from personal experience.
The Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. ) shows : Inspect at 120,000 miles , replace as necessary for the 2.5 liter four cylinder in a 2000 Ford Ranger ( But in general , for all vehicles they show to replace every ( 6 years or manufacturers recommended mileage which ever comes first )
