According to her letters to her husband she stayed on their farm outside of Boston and took care of their children. They had 6 children and in one letter to her husband she asks what she should do if the British came. He told her to hide in the woods. She also describes the seizure of Boston by the British and how things began to become hard to get. Even simple things like thread she complained she couldn't get.
