Anaximander was someone who was part of the politics of Miletus, which is now modern day Turkey. He was born in 610 BC.

Anaximander of Miletus believed in a fundamental principle called the "Boundless" or "Infinite," which he considered the source of all things in the universe and viewed as a kind of cosmic order. While not explicitly focused on a personal god like in some religious beliefs, Anaximander's concept of the Boundless can be interpreted as a form of metaphysical or philosophical deity.
Eratosthenes. I think another ancient Greek, Anaximander, is the answer. Obviously, we can't be sure who was really the first map maker. It's known for example that earlier maps were made by the Babylonians and Egyptians, but we don't know the the individuals who made those maps.
