Most Anglo Saxons were vegetarians as meat was either expensive or unavailable. Wheat and Rye was grown for bread, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, peas, beans and onions were available, although it different forms as we know them today. Some fruit was available similar to apples, cherries and plumbs. Fish was also available from local rivers and seas. Sheep and cows were reared for wool and milk.

I have no idea, but based on what I know about this general time period, they probably ate quite a bit of meat and not too many vegetables.
