It gave the British more land North and West of the colonies, which Britain gave all of the land West of the Mississippi River to Spain.

It gave Britain control of the fur trade. I think most important of all, it caused the Revolution indirectly.

This is because the colonists couldn't claim independence before because there was a threat of French attack and the colonies needed Britain's army for defense.

After the war, they didn't need Britain's support for defense.

The end of the French and Indian war also indirectly caused Pontiac's War indirectly causing the Revolution because it forced Britain to pass the Proclamation of 1763, which prevented colonists settling West of the Appalachian Mountains.

The major effect of the french and Indian war was that they wanted to kill each other so the king simply drew a line down the Appalachian mountain.
