Cesar Chavez helped the farm workers because as a young boy his dad was in an accident so he had to drop out of school so that his mom wouldn't have to work in the field, so he worked so she wouldn't have to. He saw first hand what the farm workers had to endure and wanted to help them as much as himself and his family

Cesar Chavez helped the workers by fighting for them to get treated fairly. The farmers were getting poorly paid for the hard work that they did, & Cesar Chavez helped put an end to the discrimination the farmers were getting.

Cesar Chavez also helped build the Nuestra Familia. He had a large influence on helping build the Nuestra Familia, because back in the day, many of the members of the Nuestra Familia were farmers so they looked up to him for all the support and help he gave them.
