Who gave Cleopatra the right to rule Egypt?

Cleopatra's father actually gave her the right to rule Egypt along with her brother. They were to be co-rulers under the terms of his will. They had a falling out and Cleopatra had to go into exile. Now here's the tricky part. Julius Caesar arrived in Egypt at the time of the rift between Cleo and her brother. Rome had been made the protector of Egypt and as Caesar was Rome's representative, he stepped in to try to make peace. It didn't work and the Alexandrian war broke out which resulted in the death of Cleo's brother and Caesar establishing Cleopatra on the throne with Rome's backing and protection.

Did Cleopatra have a legacy?

here's her legacy: She was 39 when she died; she killed herself because she realized that her end was close by any way so to make it easier so she didn't have to struggle any more. Her dreams of the Egyptian empire died with her. Her name lived on so this name makes people think of romance, bravery, greed and beauty. She tried to make sure Egypt stayed independent; she made rulers of the roman republic frightened of her. No one can deny that Cleopatra was one of the greatest rulers of Egypt!

Why did Octavian kill Cleopatra?

Cleopatra died because the love of her life killed himself, because he was told by an anonymous person that she killed herself, but she really didn't and after that she really did kill herself. So the answer that was here at first was wrong some dufus head that didn't no about Cleopatra wrote what he/she thought but it wasn't true octavian did not kill Cleopatra and she did not kill herself because she knew she was going to be his prisoner. And to that dufus who wrote that your a stupid pus$y head!!Adding on to that someone told that Cleopatra died so Marc killed himself so he could be with his wife from beyond the skies. But when Cleopatra saw Marc dead she killed herself with the ssnake and placed it to her neck and let the the snake bite her(which was probably the same snake wondering throughout the tower when Cleopatra was younger). So their is Cleopatras end.
