Henry the eighth was tall for the 16th century. He was around 6 feet tall and had russet, red - gold hair. He had fair skin and light blue eyes that were said to "render anyone, male or female, spellbound.". When he married Anne Boleyn (1533) he began to grow a bead which was the same red - gold as his hair.
As for weight at the beginning of his reign he was a trim 32 inches, around the waist but when he was 50 his waistline was the same width as his age!!
