Jesus offered himself.

From the beginning of human history man rebelled against God, all people born since are sinners that is they don't have a relationship with God the creator and sustainer of life. God said the way for a person to restore his/her relationship with God was through a blood sacrifice. You can read about the history of Abraham and later the nation of Israel and the sacrifices made for sin, by them, in the Old Testament.

Jesus came as the' lamb of God' and died a suitable sacrifice for the sin of all of mankind.

Joh 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

What is a Catholic sacrifice?

That's a vague question. A name for the Holy Eucharist in the Catholic Church is the "Holy Sacrifice," from where Jesus says "This is my body which has been given up for you" at the Last Supper. However, a sacrifice can refer to giving up something you would normally do or want but instead refrain from that and offer it up to God.

What could you sacrifice to Jesus?

The New Testament teaches us to offer spiritualsacrifices to God through Christ, in the form of service to others, time, sharing of our means, praise, and worship (among other things). Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Hebrews 13:5, 6 - Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 1 Peter 2:5 - you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Who was asked to take his son and offer him up as a burnt offering?

God asked Abraham to take his son and sacrifice him. This proved how loyal Abraham was to God and because of that God told Abraham that he would sacrifice his son instead....

How was Jesus a sacrifice?

In the Old Testament, Jews were required to sacrifice animals annually to receive forgiveness for their sins from God. Because this was ineffective, God decided that to give permanent forgiveness to all people, his only son, Jesus would come to earth as a human, die a horrific death and rise again. Jesus voluntarily gave up his life by being crucified on a cross, thus being a sacrifice for all humans to receive forgiveness from God if they believe in Jesus's ressurection. This is the pillar of Christian beliefs.

How can you use your spiritual gifts as a way to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice unto God?

When we present ourselves as a sacrfice it means that we give up everything and turn to God. Wen we use our spiritual gift we are using a gift God gave use for His Glory. And that ties in with us surrendering to God

What is the point of sacrifice?

Did God as He said provide a lamb for the sacrifice?

Yes, he sure did. This is the question that Issac asked his father Abraham when they were walking up the mountain where Abraham was going to offer up his son for a sacrifice - "Where is the lamb?", and his father answered, "My son, God will provide himself a lamb." (Gen.22.7,8). And God, moreover, provided himself a Lamb, pure and spotless, without blemish, the Lord Jesus Christ, his only Son, who died on the cross for our sins - As John the Baptist said: "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29

Whom did Abraham offer as a sacrifice?

No one. God tested him to see if he would be willing to offer up his son Isaac, but did not make him actually do so (Genesis ch.22).See also:More about Abraham and Isaac

Is Jesus the second god?

No. Jesus is an aspect of the one God in Christian theology. Most Christians believe in a three-part God, made up of the father, son (Jesus) and the holy spirit.

What wall divided us from god how did christ remove it?

Christians believe that sin (actions or thoughts that are ungodly) causes a "wall of separation" from God, and furthermore, that Jesus Christ died by crucifiction as a god/human sacrifice that attones (or makes up for) people's sins.

If Jesus ate drank and wept like the characteristics of humans when did he became God?

Jesus Is Not God, He Is The Only Begotten Son Of God The Father In Heaven. He Was Born Into The Flesh ( Son Of Man ) To Bear Our Sins & The Sins Of The World.AnswerThe answer above leads to the question; Then why was Jesus included in the Holy Trinity?AnswerAlthough it makes little sense to our limited human minds, Jesus was both fully God and fully man at the same time. Thus He could eat, drink, weep, and bleed as the Son of Man, while still being the Son of God.AnswerIf one reads the Bible it says, 'The Father, Son & Holy Ghost' and God gave his only son to the people to atone for their sins.Answer:Let me equate some things:The Law of God is perfect, and the Law of God was given to man and man alone. Man was not capable of fulfilling this Law since man sinned. The Law requires a perfect sacrifice for sin to be forgiven. No one is left to fulfill that law and be perfect in all its aspect not even angels. Because even angels sinned, remember Satan. So it was up to God, but the problem is that He can't be under the Law because the law is for man, and for the simple truth that He is the Law. How then can God fulfill this and offer a perfect sacrifice that the law is requiring? He has to become a man and so Jesus was born. Jesus fulfilled the Law and became that perfect sacrifice. Therefore, Jesus is both God and Man.
