first of all its a mission they call it a mission and he owned some of the mission along baha California and alta california i think total he owned like 5-10 missions and his job was to manage and keep the mission in their places and organized so that was practically his whole job given to him by the king of Spain since he used to work really hard and other mission when he was in spain so thats why he was at such a high rank and also theres a catch the king of spain choose him also because of the fact of money and gold . But the king of spain wasnt all that folish he made those missions for a nother reason so that he could get the native americans to believe in Roman catholic faith or in other terms Christianity.
