Third, Egypt was next to the Mediterranean Sea, so trade was possible with other countries such as Italy and Phoenicia. Fourth, Egypt was a rich and prosperous country, though they had their down days, jewels were abundant. They also invented a police system and kept Law and Order. Don't forget the pyramids. Workers who had the job of building stuff like that were well fed.
