Within a week we should work towards the things that need to be done. BUT on the seventh day we our called to separate ourselves from normal work and honor God. We are to rest and serve Him.

Exodus 20:8-11 (New King James Version)

8 " Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day isthe Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Is Moses an only child?

No, he had an older brother Aaron and an older sister (that I can't remember a name for). Aaron is mentioned in the Bible when God commands Moses to go before Pharaoh and Moses requests Aaron to go with him since Moses was (at least in his mind) a bad speaker.
