The Reformation had two branches, Lutheranism and Reformed. Calvin led the Reformed movement. He had an educational institution in Geneva, Switzerland. He also wrote a large set of books on theology called The Institutes. Theological students studied those books for years in order to gain a deeper understanding of Christianity.
