Colonial leaders, being from Britain themselves, were both against and for war against the British. The British was the premier superpower nation at the time. With a superior navy and army, there was no one that had the guts to oppose the Brits. But the colonial leaders knew that unless a war was to be fought, there was no chance at secession from the British empire.

What do you think are the areas of improvement for our political leaders?
Not every nation have bad leaders, but there are certain countries where government has to improve and the way leaders are elected has to change to. I come from India, and I believe India is one nation where we strongly require better leadership, anti-corrupt system, transparent democracy and etc. We need credible leaders who will strengthen and reinstate our democracy. Recently my friends were talking about Nav-bharat political movement which has been initiated to Search, Identify, Short-list, Select and Help Elect the right leaders for India. I also viewed their site and was very impressed with their ideas and thats why I too have given my hand in support of the movement. I believe every responsible citizen of India should give their lending hand for the betterment of their Nation.
