What did mountain men do?

Drink, swap, fight, and sell the furs they trapped, they told stories and and had a good time. It was like our Flee Markets of today, only alot rougher. they were usually uneducated loners who could sell the're wares, party and be off again. these usually happened 1 or 2 times a year

What the Mountain Men do for living was collect fur (they were fur traders) and hunted down many different kinds of animals but the animal they hunted down for the most and almost became exstinct was the beaver. Later on when fur went out of style leather came in.

In their earliest form they were the trappers, they knew the West and became the guides to the settelers moving into the newly opened territories.
