South- tobacco plantations- indentured servants- slaveryNew England- trade- small farms- fishing (New England was said to be built on "God and cod")- little need for slavery or indentured servitude
The northerners didn't hate slavery in the beginning. They didnt need it. Most farms were not very large like plantations and the industrial revolution started there so they had small farms and no need for slaves. Eventually the reformers came around and everyone who didnt use them realized who cruel having a slave was. Hope this helped.
The reason fruit farms are located there is because fruits need warm temperature climates to grow healthy and worthy to be on store shelves. hope the answer helps :)
Food so they didnt starve and shelter.
southern states best crops were labor intensive and people who owned farms could not do it alone leaving a great need for slaves
technically none but if travelling by air the airlines demand a passport
New England had a more diversified economy compared to the Southern colonies, with a greater emphasis on small family farms, trade, and manufacturing. This reduced the demand for large numbers of indentured servants or slaves to work on plantations. Additionally, New England's harsh climate and rocky soil made large-scale agriculture less profitable, further diminishing the need for coerced labor.
They were small because farmers in New England practices subsistence farming so they did not need a large farming area because all they needed to farm was the sufficient amount so they could feed there family.

Southern farms used enslaved Africans due to the need for cheap labor to cultivate labor-intensive crops like cotton and tobacco. The enslaved Africans were seen as a more cost-effective and permanent workforce compared to indentured servants or paid laborers. This practice also perpetuated the institution of slavery and provided economic benefits to the plantation owners.
