The Aztec Indians needed to find another place to live. They were told that they'd know where they were supposed to build their new city. They were to build where they saw an eagle eating the fruit of a cactus plant. They found what they were predicted to find, and that's where their city of Tenochtitlan [the future, modern day Mexico City] was built.
It was said to fullfill the omen of the Aztecs and that would be the place they would settle
The Aztecs seen a Cactus, with an eagle perched on a cactus, eating a snake. And as their ancient legend goes, the Gods said this was what they would see when they found the place for their new Capital City. So they named it Tenochtitlan, which literally means "Place of the Prickly Pear Cactus".
as a sacrifice
The Aztec myth was that when they found an eagle sitting on a cactus eating a snake, that was their promise land and where they would build their city. According to legend, they found that eagle near Lake Tenochtitlan and that is where they built their city. This is also why the the eagle on a cactus with a snake in its mouth is on the Mexican flag.
A Gymnosperm I think, How do you think I would know!!!!!!!! Gosh.!
Aztecs would have eaten a lot of lama meat they would have also had have many guinea pigs which they would have eaten.
Fruit topped pavlova does not fit into the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. The fruit would be the only acceptable part of this dessert.
I don't believe the Aztecs actually ate hearts. However, they did sacrifice people by cutting out their hearts while they were still alive. Apparently, the still beating heart was a great gift to the Gods! Another little fact is that they also thought that children were the best to sacrifice! The Aztecs may have been called 'heart-eating Aztecs' because, during war, the Aztec soldiers would capture the enemy. After the battle, the prisoners of war would be sacrificed. Seeing as how the priest only needed the heart for the Gods, the rest of the body was untouched. However, the Aztecs also believed it was customary for the person who caught the sacrifice to eat the rest of the body... which is maybe why the Aztecs were called 'heart-eating Aztecs'.
because
fruit is food, but I would suggest 1-2 months for digestion. jk, just blend it and drink everything
The cactus plant can hurt a human with sharp thorns, spines, quills or needles. It also can hurt a human with its stored water. That water may be toxic to drink.
I would go with drinking lots of water and eating lots of fruit and veggies.
