On the sixth of Sivan, 1312 BCE, God spoke the Ten Commandments to the assembled Israelite nation (Exodus ch.19-20). Forty days later, God gave Moses the two Stone Tablets with the Ten Commandments engraved on them, and Moses brought them to the Israelites (see Deuteronomy ch.9-10). The Ten Commandments were kept in the Holy Ark, which was carried by the Levites in all of the wilderness-journeys of the Israelites (Numbers ch.4).See also:
